CELLnTEC 3D In Vitro Skin Models
Convenient 3D Keratinocyte Starter Kits are now available with everything you need to create 3D epidermal in vitro models easily and reliably in your own lab, to your own schedule. All kits contain CELLnTEC's new 3D Prime culture medium, which was specifically developed for the unique demands of 3D models using their proven signalingbased approach.
3D Starter Kits contain:
- HPEK primary keratinocytes with 500 mL PCT medium
- CnT-02-3DP 3D Prime culture medium
- PCF Inserts, stain, and complete protocol

- K10 staining (red): stratum corneum, granulosum, spinosum.

- Involucrin staining (green): stratum corneum, granulosum.
Epidermal 3D Cell Systems
Developed using our established signalling-based approach, this completely defined medium enables more rapid establishment of a fully stratified epidermis. Using this medium, models can now be ready for experimentation in just 14-18 days.
Airway epithelium 3D Cell Systems
Large airway cells isolated in PCT media are also able to form stratified 3D cell cultures. As seen in the photos, rat large airway cells (passage 2) isolated in CnT-15 were seeded onto a semi-permeable membrane and the medium swtiched to CnT-35 (day zero). After 20 days the model had developed into a multilayered epithelium, and formed a distinct line of cilia (day 20). Such lifted
cultures can also be established using human tissue and the corresponding media CnT-17/CnT-23.
Vaginal epithelium 3D Cell Systems<//strong>
CELLnTec's new estrous cycle model, CellEstrous, is the first in vitro system ever to model a complex, highly dynamic structure: the vaginal epithelium during the estrous cycle.
Bladder 3D Cell Systems
This 3-D model is generated from the monolayer urothelial cultures. As evident in the H&E stain, this model forms a 2-3 cell layer thick epithelium, closely matching that found in vivo. In addition, it has also been characterised and found to express a range of markers, including CK13 and Uroplakin.
