Introducing Splitkits
A revolutionary fully flexible cell dissociation system, SplitKits are the first cell dissociation systems specifically designed for use in both serum-based and serum-free methodologies. SplitKits are a novel collection of three kits developed for use in the detachment of adherent cells, each kit optimised for use with specific cell types. SplitKits also include SplitCells Buffer. This allows the individual system to be further adapted depending on the adhesion strength of the cells in use.
SplitKits have been developed using a vegetable based enzymatic reagent, SplitCells. SplitKits contain no animal or bacterial derived proteins making them suitable for use in a wide variety of cell culture systems without risk of contamination. The gentle action of SplitCells ensures that surface epitopes and cell membranes remain unaltered and fully functional making these kits ideal for use in flow cytometry.
Independent studies conducted in research and biopharmaceutical environments have shown that SplitCells detaches cells faster than trypsin. It has also been found that the action of SplitCells was much gentler thereby giving higher cell counts and greater recovery in terms of cell growth following detachment.
