Chemiluminescent Reagent
Chemiluminescence is defined as the light emitted by a chemical reaction. Horse Radish peroxidase (HRP), in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, catalyses the oxidation of a cyclic diacyl hydrazide, such as luminol, to an excited reaction product which on spontaneous change to a stable form emits light. A dramatic increase in the light output can be achieved by the presence of enhancers.
Using Covalab’s oxidant and newly synthesized enhancer, light emission is intense and stable for several hours.
