Rabbit polyclonal antibody to capsid protein, which is also known as coat protein and CP. CP is a protein frequently found in virion. It could play an extensive role in the binding of capsid proteins to viral RNA inducing a conformational change that is required for efficient T=3 shell formation. Capsid protein self-assembles to form an icosahedral capsid with a T=3 symmetry, about 26 nm in diameter, and consisting of 89 capsid protein dimers (178 capsid proteins).
