Rabbit polyclonal antibody to CROT also known as peroxisomal carnitine O-octanoyltransferase, whose expression can be detected in the hind brain but is highly expressive in the ovary and placenta. It is found in the intracellular membrane-bounded organelle. This protein converts the end product of pristanic acid beta oxidation 4,8-dimethylnonanoyl-CoA to its corresponding carnitine ester. This protein is involved in the pathway fatty acid beta-oxidation, which is part of Lipid metabolism.
