Rabbit polyclonal antibody to MEST, which is also known as EC 3 and PEG1. It is frequently found in the plasma membrane and is expressed in the ovarian mesenchymal stroma cells and duct progenitor cells. It is overexpressed in the omentum and adrenal gland. Mesoderm-specific transcript protein expressed in fetal tissues from the paternal chromosome and in hydatidiform mole of androgenic origin is identical to the murine imprinted gene Peg1 and unlikely to be a contributor to Silver-Russell syndrome with aberrant imprinting in invasive breast carcinomas.
