Rabbit polyclonal antibody to PLET1 also known as mAgK114 whose expression can be detected in hair follicle cells and the sebaceous gland of skin but it is highly expressed in the placenta. It is found at the apical membrane of the most differentiated keratinocytes of the outer root sheath (ORS). This protein can modulate leading keratinocyte migration and cellular adhesion to matrix proteins during a wound-healing response and promotes wound repair and plays a role during trichilemmal differentiation of the hair follicle. It is extensively involved in wound healing, spreading of epidermal cells and negative regulation of cell-matrix adhesion.
