    Chemical. CAS: 254109-20-1. Formula: C21H14F2N2O5. MW: 412.34. Synthetic. DAF-FM is an important reagent for quantitating low concentrations of nitric oxide in solution. This compound is essentially nonfluorescent until it reacts with NO to form a fluorescent benzotrizole. With excitation/emission maxima of 495/515 nm and a dectection limit of 3 nM, DAF-FM can be detected using any instrument that can be used to detect fluorescein.
