Scientific Description
The recombinant rat CD5/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 586 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 64.5 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 85 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. A DNA sequence encoding the rat CD5 (P51882) (Met1-Pro368) was expressed, fused with the Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.
