Bio-Connect is a fast-growing & successful company that has been active since 2004 as a distributor of Life Science reagents in the Benelux. We are looking for a:

Supplier manager (32 – 40 h.)

The supplier manager will be responsible for establishing strategic partnerships with our top suppliers. Within this role you will be working with these suppliers to deliver new opportunities for improved business results. Next to this you will collaborate with sales & marketing to influence performance results and drive improved outcomes for the plans developed with our suppliers. You also will be involved in improving our internal processes and partnering with internal stakeholders to drive value for our ongoing relationships.
 
Key Responsibilities

Establishing Strategic Partnerships & Managing Performance
  • Working with internal team to classify and select (potential) strategic partners among our suppliers
  • Develop an interaction format for exchanging relevant information and facilitate a business development model with our suppliers
  • Preparing for and facilitating regular business reviews with our top suppliers
  • Optimizing existing base of metrics and performance indicators across our enterprise for top suppliers to ensure consistency and value
  • Create market analysis to support business development
Driving Results & Delivering Value for Business
  • Organizing strategic sessions to identify new and potentially innovative opportunities with suppliers
  • Selecting and prioritizing potential opportunities for innovation and/or continuous improvement
  • Initiating & developing business plans together with marketing and sales.
  • Supporting the sales team with the right training, necessary information & tools for the realization of the business plans within a defined time-line.
  • Working with business partners to ensure alignment with the program and support of partnerships
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or PhD/Doctorate degree in Life Sciences related studies, business development or similar
  • 2+ Years of experience in business analysis, project management or managing and/or coordinating strategic initiatives
  • Experience in cross-functional performance
  • Extensive financial analysis and business experience
  • Strong oral and written communication in English and Dutch
  • Project and change management experience
  • Strong leadership and team building abilities
  • Ability to take ambiguous ideas and shape them into clear business opportunities, and deliver tangible results
  • Experience with identifying root causes to issues and proactively problem solving
  • Change management experience with large and complex organizational transformations
  • Experience with process improvement and being able to develop and implement optimization tools and techniques

  • Independent self-starter and able to motivate others to accomplish ambiguous tasks
  • Ability to lead teams across several functional reporting lines
  • Successful in partnering cross-functionally
  • Ability to own and strengthen relationships with key customers
  • Compelling and persuasive communicator (oral and written) with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and present insights based on the needs and requirements of suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to develop business cases and champion opportunities with preferably quantifiable financial benefits
