Rabbit polyclonal antibody to BAZ2A also known as TTFI5 or Tip5 whose expression can be detected in the heart and kidney but it is highly expressive in the placenta and pancreas. It is found in the nuclear speck. It is found in the microtubule cytoskeleton. BAZ2A plays an extensive role in RNA polymerase I CORE element sequence-specific DNA binding and chromatin remodeling. It binds with a complex that mediates silencing of a fraction of rDNA by recruiting histone-modifying enzymes and DNA methyltransferases, leading to heterochromatin formation and transcriptional silencing.
