Rabbit polyclonal antibody to GLUT1, which is also known as SLC2A1 and DYT18. GLUT1 is a protein frequently found on the cell surface and is expressed in the choroid plexus of brain. It is overexpressed in nasal epithelium and placenta. This protein serves as a facilitative glucose transporter and has a very broad substrate specificity so that it can transport a wide range of aldoses including both pentoses and hexoses.
