Rabbit polyclonal to NRIP1.Nuclear receptor-interacting protein 1 (NRIP1) is also known as receptor-interacting protein 140IP140), which is a nuclear protein that specifically interacts with the hormone-dependent activationdomain AF2 of nuclear receptors. NRIP1 is a key regulator which modulates transcriptional activity ofa variety of transcription factors, including steroid receptors NR3C1, NR3C2 and ESR1. NRIP1 alsomodulates transcriptional repression by nuclear hormone receptors. NRIP1 has an important role inregulating lipid and glucose metabolism by regulating gene expression in metabolic tissues, includingheart, skeletal muscle and liver.
