de Duve Institute PhD Students’ Day

Bio-Connect will be present at the de Duve Institute PhD Students’ Day 2026 on Tuesday May 12, 2026, at the de Duve Institute in Brussels.

The PhD Students’ Society of the de Duve Institute brings together research laboratories working on fundamental research in areas such as cancer, viral and bacterial infections, diabetes, and genetic diseases. Each year, the Society organizes its flagship scientific event: the de Duve Institute PhD Students’ Day.

About the event

The aim of this event is to highlight the ongoing research projects at the de Duve Institute and to foster scientific and professional exchanges among young researchers. It offers PhD students a unique environment for networking, training, and sharing experiences, which is essential for their academic and professional development.

All PhD students of the Institute will attend this event, which is expected to bring together approximately 150 participants.

Program highlights

The program will include in particular:

• A poster session during which second-year PhD students will present their work, followed by the awarding of prizes for the best oral presentation and the best poster.
• Research project presentations by third-year PhD students, accompanied by scientific discussions led by fourth-year PhD students.
